agree. Frank and M Ryutin are genuine fellows, whose views are usually well argued. I have made the point elsewhere that I have a number of friends on both sides of politics, and that I’d far rather have a discussion with a political adversary than with a supposed Labor supporter.

Annabell, I respond to a lot of topics on this blog, but I pick and choose as we all do. The propensity of all of us to go off on tangents every now and then is what I think makes this blog interesting although not always relevant. You should have been here a few weeks ago, J.G. and Canguro really got into “ice cubes”, I mean they were in knee deep anecdotal territory, there has been discussions and the throwing about of brains over abstract expressionism, there have been biographical stories and tales and memories swapped and pondered and remarked upon, yes m’am there has been a truckload of stuff of no direct relevance to the initiating topic or theme given many inches of column space, veritable feet of it if one was to print it out. For me that is the nature of tabletalk, however some topics just don’t take off, nobody can think of something new or interesting to say about it, I mean NSW ALP power brokers mean less to me than the real meaning of Orland Bosch, honest to God.
Bob has a penchant for the JFK assassination and the surrounding conspiracies, and he raises it often, Reader and DQ have a particular passion for it as well, me I am a non-believer but the GWH Bush connection is an interesting one in the 2012 Presidential Election year, where the conservative candidate is such a close friend of Poppy don’t you think? And sometimes it can be used for propaganda uses. I can’t see how Reader and I can be off in a corner by ourselves on a public blog where anyone is welcome to join in and add their thoughts, you may say the same about JG and Polybius and their story swapping, or the Cyrillic codes exchanged I think between JG and Canguro? During real life tabletalk, at a dinner you will often note the forging and falling apart of allies over different topics as the conversations moved on. Sometimes it is just good fun, I’m just keeping an eye on Reader to make sure she doesn’t stumble into Area51, some think it is where a UFO crashed to Earth and Aliens were recovered and experimented upon secretly by the U.S., personally I think you will find a true reconstruction of Dealey Plaza were Tumbleweeds roll around the streets.

I’m on Annabelle’s side in this. I used to think Amazonia was the true evil and Helvi was her stupid pawn but I have since come to see Helvi as the true dark, stupid heart.
