‘Why did so few boats come under Hawke and Keating, and so many under Howard? What did Howard do wrong?’
Re: What did Howard do wrong, how long have you got?
Or, and this is just to save time…
Loop xenophobe in an encyclopaedia, there’s bound to be a picture!
As if our policies (apart from that of encouraging America to destroy the fabric of societies all over the world) had anything to do with it
How’s this? When Keating introduced mandatory detention, that slowed the increasing traffic for a while. But when the refugee advocates came on again big time aiding and abbetting their favoured economic refugees over allowing war victims to come from camps to here it led to Tampa and the offshore solution. That worked too until the Rudd surrender.
Perhaps; and perhaps the world downturn in refugee desperation between 2002 and 2007 had something to do with it. BTW, the Navy pursued a policy of towing the boats back to Indonesia until the boaties wised up that a sinking boat has to be rescued instead.
By the way Bob, I know you don’t select the ads that appear here, but some do look a bit dodgy.
Under most arrangements for ads on a website I think you can require that certain types be excluded.
It’s your blog. Look. I guess you get aid for them so you get or can get a report.
Turn on adblock if they offend your sensibilities.
I will. But I thought that Bob should know that his site is being used to push dodgy products. One looked like a perpetual motion machine. I am pretty sure that is not possible.
Ads? What ads – I never look at them. My internal filter is tuned to “high security”.
