Not that it matters. But it is reasonably clear Channel 9 has connived in a libellous falsehood they are concealing now from police investigation. Clearly the hooker they promised money came up with the wrong dates or the wrong genital description and they are, or might be, or came near to, being guilty of fraud and should or should not go to gaol.
I ask them to broadcast the interview as they said they would, or say why they will not.
“I ask them to broadcast the interview as they said they would, or say why they will not.”
They explained why not. Perhaps you weren’t paying attention?

“In a statement, producers said they had “supplied evidentiary material in our possession, resulting from our inquiries” to Victorian police for their investigation.
“We now await the outcome of the police investigation before pursuing the story any further,” ACA said.”
Hmm. Supplying material to the police.
Kind of makes this statementof yours seem like a lie Bob.
‘But it is reasonably clear Channel 9 has connived in a libellous falsehood they are now concealing now from police investigation.’
Great way to conceal stuff- Just hand it to the people you want to conceal it from!
Hmm. Yes, okay.
Let’s see how good the information was.
And why it was not put up on the screen.
Afraid of top ratings, were they?
What’s your information?
I don’t pretend to know for sure why they didn’t show it Bob. I wish’d they’d shown it too.
But in the absence of any other facts, all I can do, (all anyone can do), is take Channel9′s explanation at face value.
…Or you could let your imagination run wild and come up with unsupported conspiracy theories to back up your own position.
But when reality doesn’t match your assumptions (i.e the handing over of evidence), it makes it a tad hard to keep pushing the conspiracy line.
Incidently Marilyn the other day tried to tell us that the police weren’t interested in whatever Channel 9 had claimed to find (she didn’t back up her assertion when pressed either). I thought you two were of one mind on this.
But here’s Marilyn on the one hand telling m the police didn’t care about Channel 9′s evidence, and you on the other hand claiming that Channel 9 are *concealing* evidence from investigation.
Crazy.
Well if Thomson deigned to accept the invitation to view the footage, I’m sure he would have told his new best friend.
What do you think this unbroadcast, ratings-bonanza footage contained? Good evidence? Really?
Why was it then not broadcast, and millions made?
What is your reason?
Hmm?
My name is The Shadow and I am of sound mind and I cannot name eight policies Labor should be thrown out for. I believe Julie bishoo would be a better Foreign Minister than Bob Carr.
“Why was it then not broadcast, and millions made from it?
What is your reason?”
Please Bob, do try and pay attention this time.
“In a statement, producers said they had “supplied evidentiary material in our possession, resulting from our inquiries” to Victorian police for their investigation.
“We now await the outcome of the police investigation before pursuing the story any further,” ACA said.”
You can keep asking the question Bob, but the answer won’t change.
“My name is The Shadow and I am of sound mind and I cannot name eight policies Labor should be thrown out for.
….etc etc blah blah blah.
You haven’t asked this of me Bob. Does it amuse you to edit peoples posts so? Does it amuse you to put words in their mouth?
In answer to your challenge (that you have never put to me personally), I shall meet you halfway for now. I feel this is more than fair seeing as I am acceeding to a request that was not made:
Four Labor policies they should be thrown out for:
Carbon tax- Garbage and pointless.
Mining tax- Misguided policy fueled by envy and greed, and the need to fill a budget hole caused by waste and mismanagement. The Feds don’t own the resources, the states do. Mitts off.
Internet Filter- A danger to a free society.
Border Protection policy- A joke and a failure.
It amuses me to remind people of how little thought you have put into public policy and who your dim heroes are.
What do you call border protection though shadow? Anyone has the right to come here and seek refugee protection and they do so – unless of course we let them die.
Here’s a newflash you missed – it is illegal to prevent anyone from coming here to claim refugee status because it is their legal right under laws and conventions we helped to write.
Last time the world closed their borders millions of innocent human beings were fried and shot.
Which is why it is now illegal for any country to close their borders for refugees.
Oh Maz, you really are a few stubbies short of a six pack aren’t you? Bless.
There is no border protection issue. The ones who rock up to Christmas Island want to be found.
We have a moat, called the ocean; it serves us well as a near perfect border protection device.
Do any people arrive in Australia undetected? Maybe a clever drug smuggler or two, in a small way. Think about it.
The carbon price is good policy; expect the rest of the world to follow over the next decade.
The mining tax is a good start on redistributing the wealth, from those with the divine right to dig to those who get paid a pittance for being the diggers, the transporters and the ultimate oners of the minerals.
I’ll grant that the internet filter is a dopey idea, and a sop to the right wing Christian lobby. Conroy has always aspired to be mediocre, and he has almost succeeded, to mangle a quote from Cavalier, without apology.
Had to laugh with Mediawatch last night, at all the ‘exclusives’ so loudly trumpeted.
